When I was coaching ski jumping at Gunstock for the Gilford High School, I was laway enjoying our team trips to Plymouth. I understand that the profile of the jump is not super modern, but the amount of fun all my students, as well as styudents from other schools were getting from competing at Plymouth was huge!
It would be very sad to see this jumping program disappearing... As a coach of Estern Division USSA in ski jumping and NC I have worked with several athletes from this program as well.

this is the first jump I ever took, way back in HS in the early 1980s. It's historic, please save it!

Ski jumping has been a great sport for my four children. It has kept them active and fit in the winter months. It has taught them how to work together as a team to prepare the jump prior to a practice or tournament. It has taught them self discipline by training and keeping up their classwork. It has given them a chance to travel and compete in locations they never would have had a chance to go to around the US and Europe.
Ski jumping is a great way to keep kids active and fit.

high school ski jumping has deep roots in NH and the entire ski industry. We should work to restore the jump and support the team! and a piece of NH ski history...

At 69 years old a day does not go by without thinking about ski jumping. As a kid I had to jump off my roof because they tore down the minnehaha ski jump in Minneapolis. Keep the jump and let the memories live on !!!

As a parent of a ski jumper, I have had opportunity to see lots of High School ski jumpers over the years and what struck me the most was the growth of the students participating going from the smaller jumps and progressing up to the larger jumps. These kids from all different schools create a comradery that is different than any other sport that I have witnessed. I encourage you to keep it alive and take the steps necessary to fix the jump.

I have been privileged to be part of NH High School ski jumping - as a competitor in the 1970s and as a coach more recently. High School jumping provides a unique opportunity for young athletes to challenge their self-imposed limits in a safe and supporive environment. The Plymouth program has traditionally been among the strongest in the State and the Plymouth community among the most supportive. I can't imagine NH High School jumping without the boys and girls from Plymouth pushing us all to be better.

It was such a pleasure to see all of the Plymouth jumpers at the High School meet last winter. New Hampshire is the only state in the nation with high school Nordic Jumping. Let's relish our tradition and heritage. We're all stewards for a special and unique tradition.
