During this pandemic is not the time to move the elderly out of Keiro. It will be even more detrimental to the residents' health as well as difficult to find another place for them during this time. Please extend this agreement.

We must protect our seniors. We are all going to be old one day, and we will want to live with dignity and in familiar cultural surroundings.

Keiro Nursing Home was my mom’s home for the last 10 years of her life. She was treated with dignity, respect, and loving care there. She passed away last year, but my family and I still maintain contact with her caregivers because they became our family. This type of facility is the exception vs the norm. Why would you want to get rid of something that is trying to preserve the family unit when everything around us is falling apart?

It’s never right to force elderly out of homes, but it’s especially wrong during pandemic and economic difficulties.

Both my parents spent their final years at Keiro shortly after the sale to Pacifica. The changes made at Sakura Gardens and Kei-Ai made the Five star ratings go down to three and even two stars due to budget cuts and reduction in staff.

It is morally wrong to do this, especially to our seniors and their families, and community. We have had no knowledge of what was going on until the deal was done. How was this ordeal agreed to in the first place with no say from the community? These present and future residents were counting on these facilities for a secure place for our seniors to call "home."

Please do not evict our elderly Asians during this pandemic. I urge you to stop placing profit before people.

That we even have to fight to keep our seniors housed in a global pandemic is unforgivable. Please do the decent thing and let these seniors stay in their homes.

We need to show respect and care to our elders instead of putting a price tag on their basic needs and necessities.

It is vital that Japanese-American seniors have access to the bilingual and bi-cultural care they deserve and need!

The seniors love this area! They take their daily walks in this neighborhood. The distance to the park is short so, they can enjoy the fresh air, a nice stroll, and group exercises. I’ve seen them happy in this neighborhood and I truly cannot imagine life here without them. Please share this petition!
