I support the work that is taking place at Second Chance Village. Lives are being saved. There is no good reason to shut it down. If anything, it should be replicated throughout our city until there are no longer any homeless people in our community.

The village needs nothing more from the city than for it to just let it be and drop the resistance. There will always be tent cities. Typically they grow no bigger than six if you displace these people there will be 7 or more separate camps with splintered and questionable leadership. Please reconsider ending a beautiful project.

i would love for Akron to show their love and peace to the homeless... Akron City Counsel and Mr. Mayor, how about have Sage Lewis be in charge of having tiny homes communities built... The Homeless Charity give those least fortunate the support they need and "meet them where they are" to give them a boost.
please don't break them up, only to scatter and be in worse condition than the togetherness they have in the Second Chance Village. ...

This program is doing a lot of good for the community. I have seen it first hand. If it is done away with, the structure and support these people have gained will be stripped away from them and they will be back on the streets again.

ridiculous how you want to disband these people. They are supportive of each other and care for each other. These people are a family that is trying to survive the best they can under their circumstances. Dispersing them is the real crime. Unless you can come up with a better solution for them, let them alone!

There is no reason to send these men and women into the streets. they are there where they at least have a tent to protect them from the weather. The city thinks they are safer in the woods somewhere. Are the officials in Akron that stupid?? They at least have a bond with each other and the watch out for each other. Leave them alone.

The residence of Second Chance Village have no where to go if the tent city is closed down. Other cities are helping the homeless by building tiny home communities for the homeless. Has the city of Akron looked into something along these lines. I have met the people of Second Chance Village. These are good, resourceful people who need a hand up. Anyone could be in this situation at anytime.

SECOND CHANCE VILLAGE is embracing and empowering many people daily! I visit often and have met countless friends there. I am inspired each time I am there and have seen this village be a very necessary stepping stone for people to be safe and cheered on while they figure out how to move forward from a variety of circumstances. I have then seen many of these people move on and move forward...and then still come back to volunteer! This community is filling many gaps in our community! I sure hope the city thinks about ethics and human life before they consider taking the community and safety from people that would send them back into the woods. We can't just pretend the houseless do not exist ! They are our neighbors...they are us!

Second Chance Village is a great community oriented place. They help people that are down on their luck get back on their feet. They have open arms to all walks of life and does not judge people on their misfortunes. Second Chance Village keeps people off the street, gives back to the community. Lets all come together and help save our village.
