Our friends children use this bus and I can't believe the council can justify stopping the safe bus and replacing it with a dangerous walk !!

My four grandchildren will never be allowed to walk this extremely dangerous route. Obviously this decision was made without real knowledge or consideration and should be reversed immediately. It is also counter to the intention to reduce climate pollutants, each bus being replaced by far more individual cars making the journey and even more congestion and danger around the school as it is obvious that pupils will not walk this route..

If there is no increase in safety precautions - wider paths bike paths barriers etc this will end in tragedy

As a Grandparent I am deeply concerned that any one of my five grandchildren should have to do this walk now or in the future. The parish council should be backing you all the way.

A49 not safe for school children to walk down due to high speed of traffic. This decision should be reversed.

This is the stupidest thing to happen , I lived in weaverham as a child and the A49 is not a safe road to be walking down period , pen pushes should walk the route in winter in the howling rain , sleet, snow , to whom has chosen this is thick , stupid , moronic and an absolute tit

This road is an extremely busy road with hundreds of very large heavy goods vehicles travelling along it each day only inches from the edge of the footpath. It is outrageous that the local authority consider this road not to be dangerous. Even when an individual is walking along it keeping to the furthest away from the road when a heavy goods vehicle passes you can feel the draft pulling in its wake. Think then when children are walking as a group how than could end. I shudder to think.
