Please consider other options such as relocating Family Focus to preschool or elementary school, GED program to HS and board office for renovations? Surely a little maneuvering will accomplish both the logistics and financial needs. The preschool is a great asset to our community and our school system as it is currently utilized. Children thrive there!

It's rediculas how school system leaves football lights or ballfield lights on all night to use up money. Really need to focus on better budget!!!

The preschool is by far the best part of the Ballard county school system. In comparison with other counties, the current facility is great. This would be a huge step backward. Consider gym time, cafeteria time, playground time, buses, differing schedules. The board of education does not require such a big facility whereas the preschool uses every inch.

put the board office in the high school. Revamp the board facility. Use summer to revamp what needs to be done. There are many ways around this!

We have been blessed to have this extraordinary program in Ballard County. The building it is in meets all of the many regulations, it does not make sense to move this program to a building that is not ready for the regulations of preschool.

The preschool needs to be separate from the elementary school. I'm not sure how you expect 3 and 4 year olds to walk down the halls quietly and not disrupt other students. Where are they going to eat lunch? Their little legs aren't long enough to sit at the picnic style tables in the cafeteria. What about recess? There's not any playground equipment suitable for preschool aged children. Plus the elementary gym is already in use most of the time. Ballard currently has a great preschool facility. I don't understand how they could save any money by switching buildings. Please reconsider.

Those little ones are far to Little to be in a big school with far too many other children who are much older. They need to stay where they are!

Are u kidding me the preschool if fine where it is. If they want to save some money take it away from the high/middle school football teams. And plus I use to work at Lifecare across the street and all the residents loved going outside and seeing the kids running and playing on the playground I had a couple say that was the best part of their day.

I strongly disagree with this because of space issues already. I understand overhead costs are high but there has to be a better solution than doing away with the facility, jobs, parking area, and so on. I'm sure you all know how badly designed the pick up areas at Elementary and Middle and High are, I can not even imagine picking up my children with having high, middle, and elementary students. There is simply not enough room and I am never for cutting jobs in our school's it really is not benefiting any involved. I hope the board really does pay attention to these issues. If we continue to cut back on wonderful programs we will fail all involved. Where there is a will there is a way. Rework the budget see what can be cut before cutting the easiest. We have a great school system! These pre-school teachers are vital to our school systems. They pour into our children and prepare them for Kindergarten. Not counting the interventioist/therapy teachers that would be pushed out. Its never easy to make decisions but I think everyone knows this is not they way to do it.
