The preK is in a perfect spot now. They don't need to be mixed with Elementary kids at this young age. They have access to gym & outdoors with the move they'll be liked to those activities. Growing kids need more play time access to work on skills in gym & outdoors. They have perfect classroom settings now as well.

Board of Education needs to focus on the classes offered to HS students instead of reorganizing Pre School ! Our Pre School is one of the best in this area. Leave it alone!

I feel this is a bad move my main concern is our children, if the elementary had 2 rooms for preschool when it was designed. THEN how in the world are you planning on putting 4 classes from A.M and 4 classes from P.M which are currently attending preschool and STOP AND GO.... My worst fear is they will not be able to have enough room in the elementary school and a lot of kids will not be able to attend.. I'M NOT FOR IT AT ALL!!! My daughter attends preschool and has one more year, if this crazy move happens she will be attending Heath preschool .........

There has already been money spent to adapt the current preschool to the needs of 3/4 year old students. There is a cafeteria that allows adequate space for each child to have room to eat at table and chairs sized to fit 3/5 year olds. There is a gym and two playgrounds to allow for gross motor activities that are not overcrowded. Both playgrounds were recently updated with new gravel and one has new equipment. Parents are welcomed to come visit the center and do so often. There is a feeling of a caring family in that building. Children are comfortable there and learn pre reading skills, early math, social skills, and problem solving.

How could this work. There is not enough room at the elementary. I fear they would have to cut eligibility requirements and reduce the amount of children that would be able to go to preschool.

I feel that they need to stay where they are at ît is sit up for them. If they move to the elementary they are not going to have enough gym time, are kids don't get enough time NOW TO EAT their lunch they have to eat way to fast. I feel like this would be a bad move on both parts to preschool kids and the elementary kids that are already there. I AM NOT FOR THE MOVE!!!!!!!

Why are they even thinking on these lines?The elementary is full as it is.Why put more burden on an already maxed out system? who benefits from the change?

I believe the merger is a bad idea. The elementary school students are already rushed with lunch, recess, gym, library, art, and music time. Adding another 150+ students to the situation is just going to cause more issues. As a kindergarten parent my son has anxiety about going into the school with older kids as it is, 3 and 4 year olds will be more anxious.
