Save Our Pond!

It is very unpleasant looking. I was hoping for a better pond in our community

please save our pond!!

It needs to be fixed now not later.

I was disappointed and surprised late spring as the pond quickly filled with algae. I had expected that with all the playground and site renovations it would have been fixed.

As taxpayers of Hunters Woods the pond should be a place for my children to enjoy. Instead it is disgusting, bug infested and not acceptable. It's embarrassing that a petition has to be created. The City needs to actually invest in the complete restoration of this park instead of treating it with "bandaids" that obviously are ineffective.

I too lend my voice in support of addressing Hunters Woods pond. In addition to the salient points the organizers of this petition present (foul odor, a breeding ground for undesirable insects and the general unsightliness) the present condition of this pond undermines the recent renovation project the park district recently invested in Hunters Woods Park. The installation of an entirely new playground, improved landscaping and a new walking bridge will not enjoy their full value so long as the pond stays in this condition. We look forward to - and trust that - Naperville will take action on this petition and honor their fiduciary responsibility to the community and taxpayers.

This pond is particularly visible to the wider Naperville community because so many families use the park in the summer while visiting the library. The Hunter's woods park is very popular with families outside of the neighborhood. Many taxpayers would benefit from the clean up of this pond.

The pond at Hunter's Woods is no place for children to enjoy nature in it's current condition. Please fix this property. It's unsightly, unsafe. If we want kids of today to appreciate nature and good old fashion fun in the outdoors, we need to make it nicer than sewer.

This is a public safety issue and shall be addressed immediately.

Please fix this pond to prevent any health risks from developing.

I believe this should be a priority. We have a great community and the pond has become a visible and unnecessary eyesore.

Please provide the necessary funds to make the pond an asset to the community and somewhere families will want to spend time.

Our neighborhood is beautiful and well kept. We would like the adjoining park area and pond to be as good as our neighborhood. Please make the corrections/improvements needed.

It's dispicable that we pay this level of tax and u burocrts can't respond? Unbelievable.

The condition of the pond has steadily decreased over the years while our tax bill has steadily increased. Not only is the pond an eyesore, it is a health hazard and breeding ground for mosquitos and other pests. This needs immediate attention. On a warm summer evening, the stench from the pond is so strong you can smell it on Naper Boulevard walking to the Library. The tax payers of Naperville and Oak Creek deserve better service from both the Park District and the City. Please address and correct this issue.
