Lavender Hill police station is essential to the safety and well being of the residents of Battersea and we cannot afford to be without it. Please do NOT CLOSE IT

We've got to stop this utter madness!! Already its hard enough to contact police and this closure would cut options for everyone - especially the older and non-online sections of our community. And where would you seek help and protection should you need it? It cannot, surely, be beyond the wit of our wonderful Mayor and his cronies to find the necessary funds to solve this on, can it?

Please don't close Lavender Hill station as it plays such a vital role in the community particularly around Clapham Junction

We need our local police stations. The Lavender Hill Police Station is vital to the community and everyone’s sense of well-being. Please keep it open

I appreciate the debt our country faces, but there are certain essential elements that are madness to meddle with. With a constantly increasing population how can you expect our police force to function properly without the required resources? And that includes police stations! I despair with our elected leaders!!

This station is at the heart of a busy shopping district, a major crossroads for E-W, N-S traffic and a highly residential area in which crime has increased in recent years. Current police numbers means that police are rarely visible on our streets and a vital contact has already been lost. Removing this station will make this impossible.

Fully support this petition. Proposal is short-sighted in the extreme even if the building is a bit of an eyesore.

It is appalling that Lavender Hill Police Station should be under threat of closure. This is certainly an accountants decision! Pure madness. We need this station available for the public, and for the staff working out of there to feel valued by the community AND city hall. Crime prevention is needed more than ever as we see the crime figures on the increase in this area.

With increasing crime rates, it is essential not to reduce police levels even further. As it is, little attention seems to be given for solving burglaries, which are still high in this area.

Policy on the verge of reckless! Battersea needs its police station. Quite apart from the rise in violet crime Lavender Hill police station is the most important presence situated on Lavender Hill. There was good policy behind its positioning next door to the Court and serves as a subtle reminder of law and order and the rights of citizens to be protected

Having been a recent victim of crime, I am appalled at any proposed police station closures. #mustdobetter

Definitely notice crime on the increase in this area. Too many police stations have already closed in London. The list should not get any longer

I have been subject to a number of muggings in London and the local Police Station were always helpful in these circumstances. I fear for the teenagers and other youngsters in the Battersea area who will not have the support of a local police station.

Having been the victim of 3 violent muggings in London I vehemently oppose the closure of our police stations in central London The lack of police in our community is not only noticeable but I feel outrageous

We have so much crime in battersea, my dad and numerous residents have been mugged over the last 3 months and nothing has been done, the police don't even call and follow up anything, it's a joke!

I would strongly support this petition, in my role as the Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator of the Glycena Road Residents Association.
