We need this station as it serves a large population and crime remains an issue in this area

It would be criminal to close Lavernder Hill police station. The area has a buzzing nightlife and needs a local station to deal with crime and violence.

We need more not less police on the streets, a visible presence deters anti social behaviour.

Is this a ruse to make the lack of funding appear a lot worse?

No one voted for this. Mr Khan has no connection with the people he serves. First Battersea Bridge as a housing development, now Lavender Hill. We want safety and security not political expediency. Shame on you.

Terrorism is putting London on already on High Alert - why on earth is the Mayor even considering any closure of any police station in the capital? The public need all the reassurance possible of police strength. If Mayor Khan does reduce numbers of the Police Officers it would be an act of insanity.

Lavender Hill Police station is essential for maintaining order on Lavender Hill & the surrounding Clapham Junction area which is becoming increasingly lawless during the evening and late at night.

It is a major central Police Station & to shut it down would be criminal.

Why am I not surprised? Poor thing, he's only following the all too familiar political habit of promising things to get elected then breaking them as soon as you are. It used to be called lying to the public, now it's more politely called dissembling.

Shutting the Batteresa station makes no sense . The world has gone mad at times where crimes rise

Dear Mr Khan, Instead of cosying up to your cronies at TFL by banning Uber please concentrate on local policing and keep the Lavender Hill police station open.

This contradicts Labour's election promise not to close police stations!

We really need our Lavender Hill Police Station, we have only just lost Battersea Bridge Station. Population is growing, that means we need more not less police.
