I really think this is short-sighted. There are ways to be careful about budgets without cutting what local people want - a safe, nearby police station. The Mayor seems to be having a go at Battersea, Putney and Roehampton for political reasons, which is just not fair.

Absolutely terrible. I am so angry.
People being mugged almost monthly on the Peabody estate yet the so called Mayor wants to close our police station. For what !!! To build more flats for profit when Wandsworth is so grossly overcrowded. Outraged is a understatement

Us old people don't feel safe as it is what with the amount of muggings going on on our estate at the moment it will be even worse without the police stations.

On a search of Met website of the 4 nearest stations to me, Lavender Hill is the only one manned 24 hours a day and is within reach without having to use 2 forms of public transport it MUST remain.
