Not enough awareness about this at all. This station is much needed and more police presence would help with local anti social behaviour. Cuts are not the way forward.

Closing this police station is a crazy idea when you consider the area around Clapham Jn and Northcote Road is heaving with people partying most nights. More police are needed not less. This station is an integral part of the community here.

We need our police stations. We need a local police presence and police who are familiar with the neighbourhood. With increasing crime in the area and increased threats we need more local police support, not less.

We have already had so many of our Police stations in Wandsworth closed. The one in Battersea Bridge (BB) is now flats and we do not see police on the streets in Battersea as a consequence. I lived through the riots when Lavender Hill Police Station, had been downgraded to day time only, then it was re-opened. Now it is under threat again. It is in the middle of the busiest area of Clapham Junction where crime is common and central for the area. Ludicrous to think of shutting it as I see no alternative plans. With the Battersea power station development we need MORE stations not less. The increased threat from terror attacks, moped and racist attacks we should not be left more at risk without fast response and local access to the police. Oppose this closure or we will all be worse off.

I am a Shaftesbury estate resident, and regrettably we do suffer from anti social behaviour in this area. These Police cut backs would only increase this situation.

As a concerned resident living in the Shaftesbury estate proximity, we have seen numerous glimpses of anti social behaviour and feel that if the Lavender Hill and Wandsworth's police station and public counters were to close then this would lead to an increase in crime and as a business owner and tax payer living in the borough, this would be completely unacceptable and irresponsible on the Mayor of London's part. The Wandsworth's crime prevention a vital service and one that should not form part of the Mayor's budget cut.
