i was attacked with a knife by a younster on a moped between the commons the other day. Literally every day i hear another story of moped and pushbike related crime. These kids are becoming ever more brazen and agressive because the streets have been given over to them. They act as if they can do exactly what they want. Pretty soon residents are going to start arming themselves as we cant have these young thugs feeling that they can attack residents at will. This is a very serious matter and a matter of public safety and the possible complete breakdown of law and order.

crime is increasing on the streets where my kids walk home. school kids getting mugged walking home and boys on mopeds smashing car windows - its getting worse and I always thought I lived in a safe part of the capital!

Unfair of the new Mayor to begin to undo years of conservative lead administration by reducing police budget because we have low policing needs.

The Labour Mayor is quick to accuse the Conservative Government of cutting the budget for the MET police. In fact Londoners have paid more in tax under Sadiq Khan and are receiving a poorer service in return. Interesting method of "tax and spend". Particularly galling since Sadiq Khan promised he would not close our Police stations and he is now clearly going back on his word.

More broken promises from Labour's Sadiq Kahn.

The reason crime is low is because of the presence of police and police stations in our area. Removing them is not a sensible option.

It is essential that we have a good police presence in the borough, and if Police Stations are closed, where would be go to report crimes?

Please don't close any more police stations. Sadiq Khan promised more police spending, not less (another promise he has broken) and we desperately need our police to keep us safe in these uncertain times.

The Police Stations MUST remain open

The borough has already lost police stations and who's ever seen a bobby on the beat in recent years? Say contact with police is in danger of being irretrievably lost - so stop these cuts!

No justification for reducing Police numbers or closing Police Stations. Police already under huge pressure and any reduction will seriously compromise their ability to police Wandsworth effectively.

Police stations open to the public are a vital part of community life and must remain open

The borough of Wandsworth will not continue to be a safe borough if these cuts are made. Safety is a key factor when choosing where to live in London

Crime going down is as a result of current levels of policing, and not a reason to withdraw police presence.

Please halt the reduction of Wandsworth policing. Don’t see us as a soft target because we are conservative controlled!

Keep numbers as they are, no cuts.

Khan campaigned to keep Tooting police station open when he was the local MP. He then put up the mayoral precept this year to protect policing. What hyprocrisy.

Cutting police numbers is a false economy and will lead to avoidable hardship, both for the victims and perpetrators of crime

I've lived in Wandsworth for 15 years and have never known crime to be as bad as it is now. Reducing policing further will just escalate the problem!! Please don't do it!
