We have too many Estate Agents already. Another would not help to make it the lively local shopping centre it should be.

We must protect small businesses - they are the heart and soul of our society and the backbone of our economy. Rents need to be controlled to allow these business to continue unhindered and protect the space from being taken over by larger companies that don't have a face!!!!

There are enough Estate Agents on the Parade. There needs to be a variety of Retail Shops in order to keep the Parade as a viable and sustainable Parade.

I am a financial analyst, working for a FTSE 100 company, and here is my view on the matter. It is all well everybody saying we need this that and the other on the parade, but have any of you ever actually ran a business or do you have an appreciation of the overheads involved? Let’s not even talk about having to compete with supermarkets & internet based stores!! The only reason businesses like the butcher close is because of the lack of support. If the business was profitable another company would have jumped at the opportunity. I agree that we do not need more estate agents, bookies, etc, but if you do not offer your support to the local shops in the first place then do not expect them to last. Sorry, but that is the grim truth! Rents, rates, purchase costs, etc are constantly on the rise and these business owners do us a great service by even being there in the first place, especially in these times. From my discussion with current shop owners (where I shop on the parade) I understand there are further inevitable business closures instore for us. As Zac Goldsmith’s campaign poster read “Use It Or Lose It”.

There are more than enough estate agents, but no butchers in Ham. We need local food shops that are independently run.

I have loved the shops at ham parade for years and really like the diversity of the shops, would be a real shame to have another estate agents that's is mainly for people moving to the area and not those who live there now.

Agree that another Estate Agent will be neither useful or necessary.

There are already too many estate agents on the parade, I hope this does not go through.

Sad to see Tuckers has gone. This lovely parade of shops for use by the local community will gradually disappear if people do not use them. Another estate agents will not encourage local trade.

There are sufficient Estate Agents in Ham Parade already. A Gift/Card shop or butcher's/fishmongers would serve the local community better. The loss of Tucker's is really felt by the local residents.
