As a Resident of Allington the plans to build more houses in an area known for its biodivesity and beauty is just plain wrong. MBC have not considered the impact on the environment or the residents who they represent. The identity of Allington and other areas of Maidstone will blur into one super size town and the only ones who benefit are the developers. Must protest before our beautiful county disappears under a blanket of concrete.

Why are local councils, and the Government allowing the South East of our country (particularly Kent) to become so overcrowded? I understand the need for progress, and the necessity of building new dwellings, to accommodate our ever-growing population, but why destroy small areas of woodland and green fields in Kent, when there are many, many brown field sites in the rest of the country, including derelict buildings (which could be restored or the sites re-used?

The infrastructure is already incapable of coping on a day to day basis without adding to the problem. Hermitage Lane is at bursting point and will soon be at a standstill when the RBLI project is completed at the junction with the A20.
As to the loss of an ancient woodland words fail me - so much for Global Warming!!

We value this Ancient Woodland and use it frequently. We want to protect this open space for ourselves and our family and all other numerous users for the future.The Maidstone infrustructure is allready useless and we can see that no real improvments have been made in the last 70 years. The rise in vehicles is already being driven by family circumstances which is not being taken into account. There should be a 5year gap between each planning application for more houses, to see the effects of what planning is acceptable. The dictat of central goverment figures should be ignored or those party councillors removed at the next election.

I work at Maidstone Hospital and am saddened that houses are going to be built all over the fields etc of the Hermitage Lane. Also traffic in this area s terrible already and more homes mean more cars trying to access already overused roads

Hermitage Lane will be impossible with all the traffic that these new houses will bring. The wood will be the only relief for the residents.

The government targets to build in the local area are ridiculous. There is no need to keep taking our ancient woodland and areas of beauty. Current residents need recreational areas NOT concrete jungles.

As an Allington resident it is the place to stroll and relax well loved and used and enjoyed. It is essential that it be preserved for future generations who will be forced to live in a concrete jungle without the trees and bluebells. a very greedy and sad decision for the residents of this nice place MBC has no shame in this. what a horrible bunch of cretins.

If all these houses are built, we shall no longer be able to breathe in this area. The increase in traffic alone will lead to more congestion and pollution and even if the Bluebell Wood remains untouched, the lack of support from the surrounding fields and the greater footfall from the increased population will kill it off. Would the councillors/ministers want to raise their own small children in one of these houses? Of course not. Let us hope that common sense prevails.

I live on Hermitage lane and We are at saturation point with the amount of traffic using Hermitage lane.We cannot get anywhere after 4pm untill 7pm as usually the road is gridlocked. we also have so much building in this area that the place will be unrecognisable. in my oppinion it would be an act of vandalism to allow any more building to go ahead. We all need space to walk away from traffic and noise, this is one of the last field left which we can do this.Please protect this Field and ancient woodland.The Council must take note of the detrement to our lives caused by even more housing being built with no way of improving the junctions at both end of Hermitage Lane.
