please let us have the nusery nurses my grand son goose to the school with out them he would not be able to do a lot of things

The provision for ALN in West Lothian is excellent but it's greatest resource is the staff within it. The needs of the children will not be met to same level and standard if nursery nurses are taken out of ALN.

As a special needs teacher, I truly value the work nursery nurses do over and above for the children they work with.

Just had to ake a demotion to advanced pupil support worker so that I can work in the same class as I was in last year as a Nursery Nurse

These nurse provide a much needed and a valuable service! It must not be allowed to happen.

too replace nursery nurses teachers with assistants is so wrong and taking away the support our children need and have come to reley on , cant happen

The nurseries need specialised nursery nurses. That is what they have trained for in college and university. Regardless of saving money, this fact needs to be considered!

Nursery nurses have specialised knowledge of early childhood development that we as teachers are not taught at uni. This knowledge and understanding is vital in the planning and assessment of pupils with additional needs who are possibly developmentally between 6 months and 3 years.

This cannot go ahead these kids need those teachers to help them. They have a difficult time as it is and to take things away will have a drastic impact on their lives

A total disgrace that we need to petition to keep this service. This country is getting worse by the day. Cuts always made in the wrong place, this would be totally wrong if they stopped this much needed valuable service.

It is a disgrace that these proposals are even being considered these are the most vulnerable children who need support teachers

Nursery nurses are more in need than nursery teachers. If it's money saving I suggest you reduce the teachers role.. nursery nurses provide daily one to one care as well as intimate personal care.. massive mistake if this goes ahead

More and more children are being diagnosed with additional needs, we need MORE special needs schools and nurseries not less!!!
