I have heard this, and it is truly awful.
I have named this petition for all special ed schools in west lothian. My son attends Pinewood, but I want this stopped for all ASN children.

The children need a safe place adapted to their needs. Trying to save money on the back if children education is a despicable and counterproductive idea.

I hope with all my heart that this effort comes to pass and all those involved get the right result!

What happened to Scotland being the best place to grow up? Are special needs children different? My friend has done further education in special needs and supports her teacher in delivering a high quality education to special needs children. I can't understand why the council think that it is acceptable to downgrade the quality of staffing who are supporting and educating children who have a variety of complex learning needs, surely education is one of the areas where these cuts should not be affected. If this is not the case, I do think west lothian council have to reword their policy documents as they can not expect the same level of care, support and education to take place. I'm absolutely disgusted to hear that this is in the plans for the near future.

Every nursery sho Yuri 's have nursery nurses. Silly idea to remove them from nurseries with children who need them the most.

I find it shocking that cutbacks are being made in the most crucial part of education. It's also the vulnerable children that are suffering the most which is absolutely horrendous.
