West Lothian Council as usual. Cheapskates. They are bit by bit ruining West Lothian & certainly shouldn't be tampering with Pinewood school.

I am a nursery nurse who started working in a special school in the seventies.Surely experience should be a valuable resource?

As one of the founders of Signalong I have had the honour and pleasure of training staff in West Lothian and supporting a network of tutors. It would be a matter of regret if the Council were to dilute the excellent service provided to children with special needs.

We won't always know whose lives we have touched and made better for having cared, or how that individual or child has been shaped into the person they will become.
Actions can sometimes have unforeseen ramifications, and this is one of those times.

save money by getting rid of the cars used to drive the top brass if the council around. They could also take a pay freeze like most of the private sector do, just a thought

A report will be presented to council at an unyet undefined point, keeps your eyes open. Also the council has a mechanism where petitions can be presented officially, I can advise Lynne on the mechanism for this, Cllr Andrew Miller.

The staff at pinewood and other schools are valuable resources and the children's education will suffer without them.

We need to ensure adequate levels of teaching across all areas of the developmental spectrum, this looks like another example of the erosion of quality provision.
