Considering that education is at the forefront of their election campaign this is a disgrace. Similar cuts are being made to other nurseries and the increasing hours imposed are cutting the number of places available in special needs nurseries and no extra provision is being made

I accept that WLC have been put in an almost impossible position regarding cuts to their budgets, but implore them to stop these cuts and try to find another solution.

Nursery Nurses for Pinewood & other special needs schools have specialist training & understanding that "Advanced Support Workers' do not! The councils decision to replace Nursery Nurses with Support Workers is purely a cost-cutting exercise to meet budget constraints. This will have a detrimental effect on the quality of care & education these special needs children are entitled too. These children deserve the best possible start in life & our Councils & Governments are failing to provide that. Why are they targeting the most vulnerable with their cuts? Collect revenue due from big business tax evaders & raise council tax to support our service providers. Special Needs children & their families have enough to contend with daily, we should all be supporting them not making their lives more difficult. Please everyone show your support in a small way by signing this petition..

Nursery nurses are trained and valuable members of staff, they are being totally undermined and their roles not being given the recognition they deserve.

Funding has to be secured for this school. A combined effort with fund raising can surely ensure a future for Pinewood.
