The Early Support Nursery is a pre school nursery for children with multiple and/or complex needs.
The charity Friends Of Early Support has supported the nursery since its beginning in 1991 and provides goods and services that are not available through statutory funding.
Stockton on Tees Borough council have indicated that there is a strong possibility that our nursery will close. They are claiming that it is so they can put in place 3 more central facilities so our children can attend a nursery nearer to home.
The nursery has brought so much to our children and their families over the years and supported them above and beyond. If we lose our nursery and the staff that work there our children and future children will miss out on so much.

The mainstream schools with hubs will not be able to provide the specialist facilities and high level of support which the friends of early support nursery provides. These changes will put the children who atten there at a great disadvantage.
Both my boys attended the early support nursery and the support in learning they got there was incredible! They are now doing so well in their full time education schools thanks to a brilliant start they had at the early support nursery.
I work with children with SEND so therefore know how crucial it is that these children have the specialist care and support they deserve. To close a setting that offers this care really saddens me. Please keep this setting open. Thank you
The work that this nursery does for families and their peace of mind can not be taken away from them. This is not about taking children to another nursery...this nursery comes with the most amazing staff and fund raising caring parents. Do not shut it down
This is my Daughters nursery. Sofia has autism and has excelled since starting this special needs placement since leaving a private non special needs placement. The difference has been outstanding since she started in September. This nursery MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Why? Why? Why? Don't these parents suffer enough? These children thrive in this environment.
I know lots of families that have and do benefit from this Nursery. They wouldn't be where they today if it wasn't for them. Keep it open!!

As the Ward Councillor for Stainsby Hill I fully support this petition to ensure that High Flyers is not closed. This facility has been judged as outstanding and it is vital that there is no dilution of services and the excellent staff that are based there.
