It only needs one or two bus number 8 to be routed to Risinghurst - even if it's just at peak times. Often there are 3 or 4 bus number 8 that comes all together. The Route 9 is 90% communal. It does not make sense!

You are expecting people to make more use of public transport, but bus routes are being discontinued. It makes no sense.

It will cause more isolation for the elderly. My road alone has 60% occupancy being elderly or without a means for travel

We are part of the city and shouldn't be denied the same services as other areas. Given Oxford City received government funding to make streets safer for women maybe they could divert a small amount to subsidise an evening bus service.

It’s absolutely atrocious to reduce the frequency of these buses we can walk onto the London Road but via a bypass or an underpass which is badly lit and not very nice to walk under

Local bus services need to be regular and reliable or people will buy more cars.

A vital resource that needs to be reinstated. The very least should be a meeting between concerned residents and bus/local authorities to hear about the impact of their decision.

The 9 bus is essential for many in Risinghurst and removing half of the services is going to affect the most vulnerable.

In the interest of greater city and suburb connectivity Stage Coach and Oxford City Council, please take a U Turn on your decision and reinstate a more reliable bus service for Risinghurst.

Why are there so many number 8 buses and the 9 gets cut further?

More bus provision needed not less. And subsidies. People need good priced

I feel this is an important service. Why tell us to use public transport instead of cars then cut the buses?

So glad to add my voice to this as it makes a huge difference to people with no car, people who look after the environment and cut down on car journeys and not least the elderly who rely on getting to the shops by bus.
