Save the bus!

We need our bus service, Covid-19 may have reduced our use but people who do not have transport, are elderly or infirm should not be denied a decent bus service simply because Risinghurst is semi-rural. Our neighbouring estate of Barton has a bus service that is serviced far too well and to see the amount of buses they have while our service is diminished simply doesn't make sense.

If this is a temporary reduction in service in response to the reduction in travel related to Covid then I accept it, but the level of service must be restored in the future

This service is really important to lots of people who live in Risinghurst. Without it, people will just drive around more.

We are trying to get people on the buses away from cars and this is an essential bus run. It is important for people living in Risinghurst and for people visiting their friends and family.

Surely Barton customers can wait for a bus every 20 minutes and then we can have one every half hour? Especially bleak in winter, it's a 10 min walk in the dark through an underpass or a noisy cycle track from the p&r .

It’s important that we have a bus service every half hour for old people who need to shop.

Risinghurst is a sizeable estate and there are people who rely on the No 9 buses which we only get every half an hour. It is actually unfair to reduce the service as not everyone who utilises this bus can walk all the way to Green Road roundabout to get a bus. The whole purpose of having public transport is to serve the public who uses it in each and every area. Why should some areas have buses every 10 mins and we in Risinghurst get less than one an hour? OR maybe donw to hardly any! People have to go to work; go shopping; visit elderly relatives; give care in the community etc and yet we do not seem to have a service that reflects what the public needs.

The current bus service is unfair.
