Our community is very diverse. Not everyone is very mobile and they rely on the no.9 bus to get to Headington for Doctor/Dental appointments and shopping. Stopping the no.9 bus is cutting some people off from services that are needed. I urge you to rethink.
Kind regards
Debbie

Downside Road resident.
The hourly service is inadequate for effective meeting appointments etc. I have given up my work in Oxford city centre to a large extent because the service has been reduced so much. Being unable to return home with equipment late in the evening is unacceptable.

It is unreasonable that no9 bus service has been changed to an hourly service , especially when I am waiting in city for bus home then 3 no 8 buses arrive one after each other! One no8 may be full but other 2 buses left with only a few people on it

We really need our bus service, the need to use cars less but without a good/regular bus service we are being push into using cars.

Please return the service of stage coach in our area. Not all residents have car and can drive. Please consider the elderly and children who need public transportation.

Reducing this service puts people’s safety at risk particularly at night by forcing people to walk under the underpass or run across the ring road

Running buses is a public service, not just a profit making enterprise. They have an impact on the independence, mobility and quality of life of local residents, some of whom will have access issues that make reaching other services difficult. Making services so infrequent diminishes their usefulness, making it harder for residents to rely on public transport.

There's a bus every 8-12 minutes on Barton, surely 1 or 2 an hour can be spared, all day and night

Already missing this bus. Using the 280 instead shows the merit of frequently run, clean buses and yet adds the huge risk trying to cross the A40 speed way!

This service is essential for many people. Encouraging the use of public transport is not done by cutting services.

In an age of environmental efficiency, awareness and ‘saving the planet’; reducing further or losing this lifeline bus service for many would be a massive step backwards. It must be saved, please!
