Why should the community continue to argue with developers and the government about inappropriate development. Public Transport and roads are at capacity. Why should our amenity be compromised. Can someone in government please explain to me why we need a 30 story building in the middle of a suburb. We are not the CBD.

Melbourne isn't the city with 2 million people as the city you grew up in either.

If you think a barren abandoned car park is attractive then my hats off to you.

I guess it doesn't matter to you critics that the population of Melbourne is projected to reach 8.8 million is 40 years time. Would you rather everybody live in the outskirts and Melbourne to become a sprawling city that transportation in the already chocked roads be inpassable. This "not in my backyard" mentality has got to stop. For those that actually understand the development and have actually looked at the plans you will see that a quarter of the site is open to the public, generating new thoroughfares and new businesses, employment for the entire area. Don't you think it's an improvement over the attractive barren concrete carpark that once was? Cause that give the area a good reputation doesn't it?

Very disappointed with your decision. You have no consideration for the local community or future generations who have to live with the mistakes of our so called leaders.

The Whole of Moonee Valley has been wrecked by overdevelopment. It's no longer the beautiful character filled area it used to be. Just lego land. Why is it deemed necessary to build these towers in Moonee Valley? Residents and Councillors face a hopeless battle against VCAT and our Planning Minister. The Interests of money grabbing developers who do not care for or reside in the area seem to be looked after.

We live near the monstrous development near the racecourse. It ruins our streetscape. This development on the old market site looks just as bad.

Richard Wynne's decision is in my opinion an outrageous abuse of political power and a government's duty to act in the public interest. In this case, the best interests of the people of Monnee Ponds and surrounds.

You are making Moonee Ponds the most unlivable suburb in Victoria. We do not have the infrastructure to support these horrible over developments that are disrespectful to the local community and only profit the greedy developers. Moonee Ponds will not be a safe Labour Seat if you proceed with these gross overdevelopments.

The traffic is already a nightmare in our area, parking is difficult to find and this development is of a ridiculous size for a residential area. Not happy

Progress and developments can be good, however this is extreme and the height of this development jeopardises the character of the area and surrounding areas. It is also unrealistic to have such volume. Traffic And parking is already disgraceful. The character of the building is out of place for the area. The height is way to extreme and can not comprehend why it has been approved especially against the residents wishes and surrounding neighbourhoods wishes?

This will completely destroy our suburb. Traffic & parking is already ridiculous. My son was issued with a parking ticket in our own street and that's before this 'development' is completed! Combine this with the road-under-rail replacement of Buckley Street rail crossing and we will not be able to move around at all. Clearly the Labor government feels no threat to their voter base in this safe Labor seat - arrogance +++.

The area will be destroyed by this overdevelopment. People cannot get on trains at peak times at Essendon station, they have NO HOPE at Moonee Ponds! Traffic won't move, people won't come and shop, they won't be able to park. I work in Moonee Ponds and I won't go there unless I have to once this happens.
