This petition is to save our local Morrison's (134 Pottery Road) from closure.

"To David Potts, Morrison's CEO:

We need our local store for our community to thrive, we have an ageing population, many disabled people and young mum's alike who absolutely rely on this store. Having met many of these people it is so sad to see how upset everyone is. Please reconsider the decision to close it, the amount of shopping coming out of this particular store is amazing! Class it as a convenience store and lower the targets accordingly and it will work. You will be alienating hundreds of people who cannot get to another Morrison's therefore will not be spending their money with yourselves, but instead with your competition."

im still spending all my time talking to neighbors who rely on this shop and hearing how worried everyone is. im currently putting together a package to send to the head office with all your stories included so they realize this is about real people and not just spreadsheets.

i cant believe how many people have joined this fight. it honestly feels like we might actually be able to change some minds at head office.

I use this store daily and it is a clean friendly place where nothing is too much trouble for staff. It is a very busy store and I fail to see why they have to close it. I as well as hundreds of others have saved stamps for christmas look at how much morrisons will lose to rival companies next year. Please reconsider it may be small but it is our morrisons and we need it.

Whenever I visit my family in Bearwood, I shop here. It's like a corner store really, lots of regular customers and friendly staff. My oldest childhood friend uses a mobility scooter. It's not just being a handy store for her to use, it's the importance of social interaction for her that she would miss. I e-mailed the CEO, David Potts and I said in that e-mail I doubted if I would receive a reply, or if he would even read it. I was proved right on both counts. If the man at the top has that attitude, what chance do the rest of us have?

This store is vital to enable myself to purchase every day goods especially when transport can be limited. Please consider this when making your final decision .
