Save Our Model Rocket Launches

Rocketry is a safe and inspiring event that educates our future leaders in science. Please save our launches!

Please do not stop allowing rocket launching to continue in the park. This is science! Teaching all who participate . You should build a rocket and try it!!!

Launching model rockets as a kid that I built with my own hands will always be a cherished memory. Not all kids activities have you build something. Don't take away future aspiring engineers and scientists.

It seems that the uneducated members that are in our public leadership positions need to understand what it is that we do and for whom we do it. Do not take this away from the kids and adults mentoring them!

The Civil Air Patrol has Wings in every state and also a model rocketry program. The Squadrons around Denver would need a safe place to fly too.

I attend launches here as a kid with my dad and credit these outings as a contributor to my pursuit of engineering as a career.

I've launched at BCL many times, and spent countless days fishing the reservoir there. It is a very bad decision to eliminate the rocket launches!!

how is this happening? as a mom of 3 girls this is a tragedy...

What is the REAL Issue??

It is even a stepping stone for college students. I have helped with many student engineering senior projects. Some have gotten jobs with ULA, Lockheed Martin, and Ball Aerospace. They come here to get their first taste of actually launching a small rocket before they do the big stuff.

We complain that kids today do not get out and play and that all they do is play games and are on their phones all the time... Solution, prohibit and deny access to groups or events that provide good wholesome educational availability... Yep that sounds like a government solution to me...

Model rockets rock the Future of our children and the space program.

Model rocketry is a great way to get more kids interested in Sience Technology, Engineering, and Math. Please continue to allow these launches to occur, so these kids can have fun and learn at the same time.

STEM activity is critical to our national competitiveness.

Let the kids play! Its a fantastic hobby. Learing to build create, imagine,& fly damn govenment wats to stop it??!! C mon, man!

Please allow this group who truly have the advancement of the public interest in mid to continue to use the park land as they have for many years now. Model Rocketry has been and still is a great family activity, gets people outside in a healthy environment and promotes educational goals.

ive been launching rockets for 35 years its taught me so much on so many levels.

Rocketry is a great educational hobby. It'd be a shame not to keep the site to expandyoung minds.
