Absolutely ridiculous idea. So many events held on the big patch of grass that would be awful if it was taken away!

Why?

Absolutely nothing wrong with the existing play park, would just be a massive waste of money which could be spent elsewhere

This has been a farce from day 1. Why not close the old play park or half and do it up bit by hit.

Why replace a park costing all that money. Spend it on saving the pit head. Keep the Meedies as it is

Our grandbairns love the existing park. They’d rather go there than anywhere else. It needs modernised, not changed out of all existence., or moved.

Absolutely scandalous what is going on with public money ther is no way a new play area costs that amount of money this needs investigating. L

This is the park the belongs to the people of benarty this is our inheritance from our great grandparents, uncles and father's that works and gave the life to the pits we should be heard of were and what is in play for our future generations is going to play and spend may a summer holiday and day not just what the greedy Park management want not only that this park move will stop the gala and rockore which is bring in 50 moterhomes over the course of 3 days this income alown will be lost and not to mention the other big Park event so on a hole this park move needs stopped and the current park site used and upgrade we will fight for what is ours and bring this into the light of news outlets and the house of parlement. Yours sincerely Pamela Jeffrey

Of all the places in the park that the playpark could go, this should be the last place. Ignorance, arrogance and couldn’t give a monkeys is there attitude.

You do have to wonder what goes through the heads of the people making these decisions. Parents, guardians and carers won't now be able to endure a bitter filter coffee in the 70's style canteen and watch on through the panoramic windows, which was the whole point of adding those windows to the centre design in the first place. But then to reduce the size of the playpark from 5'500m2 to 850m2 at a cost of £850'000, equating to an eye-watering £1000 per square metre just stinks. It's nothing new here of course, Fife Council blast through public money with no regard for value. This is a string of publicly funded scandals which need to be investigated. We can't go on like this. It can't be allowed to just keep on happening.

Move play area to front of cafe area and have new seating barbecue area where old park is.
