The proposed park is unacceptable given the footfall and land available! What a shambles with the planning process and huge cost wasted!

This money would be more beneficial to the local community for other worthwhile projects. We need to attract people to continue to use the facilities on offer and to attend all the events that take place past and in the future. For eg.Pipe Band competitions,Local Gala,Rockore,Bark in the Park etc.I think it's morally wrong to spend such a vast amount of money to reduce the size of the existing playpark as the present one is well used as it is.What person on the council comes up with these ideas? The people in the local community have a voice and they should be listened to.

This is a beautiful park & not just locals enjoy all the events that take place here so it would be a sad thing to stop this

We are regular visitors to the Meedies attending most of the events on the grassed area. We also use the play area a few times a week with our grandaughter and walk the Meedies most days. The potential that will be lost if the grassed area was to be used for the new play park is unbelievable to even consider. There are too many events that could not go ahead in a smaller area and a massive revenue loss to the park.

I can’t understand this decision, it’s ludicrous the local community needs these events to keep going at the meadies someone sitting in a office having no idea what our community is about but thinks hey this is a good idea when it’s not actually required or needed

Leave the play park where it is as us local people use the large grass area for events such as rockore, the gala etc.

I sometimes wonder what the councillors are thinking about I think that if the public have a place they can go and enjoy themselves the council will endeavour to stop ???

Don't reduce the size of play parks Children and Adults a like need this space . For the children to have fun , and for parents to watch them enjoying themselves.
