Who makes these crazy decisions?

Make the play park bigger not smaller, incorporate the land that you've got assigned to the new park and make it bigger, it makes sense.

It should be a priority to keep play spaces like this and promote well being for children and families.

Council must have a hidden agenda ask your council what it is . Ask your local representatives to find the real reason. Because this doesn't make sense

Play parks are essential for communities for the health and well-being. I would say a responsible council would have a duty of care to not just keep what play space is available now, but increase this space. Maybe A council that proposes to reduce playing space are not in tune with voted them in.

The Meedies is going to be nothing but a tourist attraction soon! The gala has been down there since I was a wee lassie, Rockore is very successful and something we've never had in the area before, and numerous other events that go on throughout a year, are what makes the Meedies what it is.

Absolutely shocking to reduce the size of the park park to 1/5 of the original size thus compromising all the other events that bring enjoyment to everyone.

Absolutely outraged. The park has been here since I was a young kid some 30 years ago. It should not be moved it should stay where it is.

The proposed area is well used for events that local people in both Benarty and Kelty can attend. With a good bus route to allow people from further a field to attend. These events bring communities together. To sacrifice this area because of the increased cost of a new children's park is indefensible. Why don't you challenge the increased cost or ask for sponsorship from businesses in the area.

The park is well used and perfect location as it is, the area suggested is also needed for events. Leave it alone.

I think it's disgraceful that at a time when we need more play area for the kids that they are looking to reduce the footprint to a tiny 5th of the size it is now. To add insult to injury, to then move it onto the area where most of the entertainment takes place within the park ( Rockore, Pipe band championship, Gala, Bark in the park) which have added to the popularity of the park, drawing in crowds from near and far and adding to the regular visitor numbers. This in itself is counter productive as we now have a lot more families regularly visiting with children, so where is the logic of reducing the size, surely it would be better to keep the footprint and redesign this area, giving kids space to move around rather than falling over one another In a compact space.
