I had the best experience ever having my daughter at Mersey hospital and could not imagine going anywhere else.To travel further would cause me great anxiety and I would be too far away from my daughter. I had to stay in hospital for a week with my bub due to her small size and low blood sugar etc. It would be too long to be away from my toddler and too far away for them to visit every day. Plus difficult for family and friends too. It really puts me off adding to my family which makes me sad.

To whom this may concern ,
I was told that this part of the hospital was safe why is it under threat when the government put so much apparent money on it which then went missing some hoe into other areas. Please keep
This hospital just look at the Devonport hospital look at what has happened there it's a disgrace that people are expected to travel so far you are condemning deaths of mothers and children if you do this as that is the closest place to go if in labour for the surrounding areas to
It's to long of a drive even on ambulance , as you know just look at the deaths in transfere instead of going to Latrobe I am highly disappointed this is happening and will not vote and I will petition against the party on which makes the Latrobe hospital close it is a historic and beautiful place for birthing I had my daughter there I was born there and I recommend that you leave it alone as this is dangerous to close please reconsider

Please dont close our maternity ward, child birth is terrifying enough with out adding the worry of getting to the hospital on time. We have the right to feel safe and to know that our unborn babies are safe.

I had an amazing experience at the Mersey, staff and facilities were exceptional, and due to complications my son and I were transferred to Burnie, which was the worst experience of my pregnancy, rude and offensive staff. And ridiculous facilities. We were treated as if our son belonged to them, like he wasn't even ours. And at a time were he was not even cuddled or held until he was 3 days old, we were definitely NOT in a state to be treated disrespectfully.

I don't drive so getting to another hospital if I have more children would be rediculous!
