The city is already oversaturated with student flats and would not benefit the area more be a hindrance. Listen to the local residents and businesses on the land and scrap the flats.

Ridiculous! How can the council /developers close/relocate a successful business. This garage is idealy situated. I'm sure if the developers/council looked closer they could find alternative, more suitable areas where (if really needed) more student accomodation could be built!!!

This is ridiculous, just listened to the interview and although the two business owners who have worked hard to build their businesses, and we know how successful and popular they are, cannot understand why the Council is even thinking of building more ugly apartment blocks. Something needs to be done asap to get this sorted!!!!
