Support should be given to independent local businesses. The community that once was Cathays has virtually been destroyed by developers.

I also think we have enough student accommodation in cardiff which is still empty. Why build more on this site or any site!

It would be such a shame to see this site get demolished for anything. Let alone student accommodation. It would mean the closure of great businesses and a great garage.

I live on Maindy Road and parking is already a problem. Plus we reall don’t need more student flats in the area!

Yes definitely will cause agrevation for local people parking is a nightmare around that area and there is more than enough student accommodation in cardiff

there are thousands of student flats all over cardiff this is a local business and should supported and encouraged to employ local people and stay in this area rather than drive them out to the suburbs onto one of the industrial estates as they have with local shopping

Are they really going to be student accommodation? Developers seek planning permission claiming that they are for students and then profit hugely from letting these rooms to non students claiming that they cannot be occupied. It’s happening elsewhere in Cardiff. It’s wrong.
