We believe we deserve something inspiring at Tazewell Triangle especially since it's a gateway to Brock Environmental Center & Pleasure House Point Natural Area.
We promise to make a safe, inspiring public space on this precious City property.

The momentum is incredible. My phone has not stopped buzzing since this caught fire.

Cut down our natural history and build hard structures which have limited environmental contributions is short-sighted and unsustainable IMHO.
Saving the lumber from these trees to make memorial benches will allow those of us who have lived here a long time to remember the beautiful trees being removed.
There are local woodworking guilds who have done this type of thing before. If the trees MUST be cut, please allow the wood to be used!
Using the wood from our live oak will make former a successful transition through the loss of a local landmark Like others, that wood will 'live on' as a symbol to revere the land and our place on it. What a lovely idea
I'd like to support the inevitable change of this precious space into an inspiration for everyone. A simple community interactive symbolic space that will encourage people to frolic through as the walk past. Something built from the trees they are removing. It will be a sore spot in our neighborhood where three beautiful trees have spread its canopy for many decades.
Beauty to sustain us!

To me, live oaks are a part of Ocean Park that brought the original campers here so long ago. It is as much a part of Ocean Park as sand dunes/roads & the sunshine of summer is.
