ABE is the gold standard for public schools in Jax. The School Board should be trying to replicate its success not close it down in favor of a "cheaper" option. Keep your promises. The sales tax was passed by voters who wanted to invest in public schools, not eliminate them.

I have two grandchildren who attended ABE and a third who (hopefully) will in the next few years. Closing a very highly rated and high performing school where a large portion (if not the majority) of children are able to safely walk or bike to school makes absolutely no sense. By all measures, ABE should be considered a model to be replicated, not a facility to be closed!

2 of my kids have attended ABE and I have one more on the way. The solution isn’t to take away a highly rated, pedestrian friendly, neighborhood Public school. Find a different answer the the current DCPS issues with ABE.

The idea of closing AB Elementary is appalling!!! This closing will be an unforgivable error by the Duval County School Board and the Beaches representative, April Carney. It shows a lack of understanding of the Beaches community.
