Litherland childrens centre is not just a centre to us, it is the centre of our community. For families and for our children. We are in threat of this closing and need to put our foot firmly down!!
The stories shared in the comments reflect how deeply interconnected our lives are within these walls. I am currently reaching out to local representatives to ensure they understand that this facility provides essential stability for our neighborhood families.

Seeing this movement grow confirms how much this space anchors our neighborhood. It is clear that the families who rely on these doors are ready to protect what we have built together.

It all comes down to money, but there are some things more important than money - giving parents and children somewhere special to go to, to discuss and share issues, to make friends, to just hang out or just somewhere to go for a break.

When communities are breaking down, we need centres like this for cohesion and mutual support networking. The government is complaining that society is becoming too selfish, but support Like this centre gets taken away from people who need it the most . Just prioritise and leave important centres like this alone. The well-being of children is key to a healthy well functioning society.

This centre does amazing things fircthe local community every day. I would be lost without it in the holidays and the club's and courses for parenting helped me no end when I had my son. This centre can't be closed down.

The new building has only been open a couple of years. The community it serves is one of the most deprived in Sefton .... but it is not just deprived families who need support.

what more do the government want to take away from us? Children's centres are important and the funding needs to be kept in these. With a 5 week old baby this centre is a god send even down to coming to get my baby weighed. And a great place to meet mothers with babies to get advice and get you out of the house.

This childrens centre is one of thr only goid things this area has. Taking my baby here at 11 weeks old really helped me when i was a new mother feeling out of my depth!! To close such a lovely centre with such lovely hardworking staff is just ridiculous not to mention a waste of a brand new building

Cant believe a labour council is doing the tories dirty work. Childrens centre are vital part of our childrens future. My vote will change in May if this goes through
