A decision has been made to close the library facilities at Queens road and merge them with the facilities at the main site. We believe that removing the library resources at OUR site would have a detrimental effect on our academia, grades and possibly our futures, with that in mind it would also impact on the overall student success rate of the college. Many people at the college do not have access to a vehicle which would therefore cause great difficulty for them to access the library at the main site, even for students who have their own vehicle, this move would make using the library facilities problematic. It is unacceptable to have further and higher education courses at a venue that does not have library resource on site. Most people pay for their courses, many quite substantially, who expect to have relevant resources available and use the Queens road library site daily it is therefore unacceptable to remove this service from Queens road.

I have been hearing from so many of you about how vital the Queens Road study space is for your daily coursework and success. My team is currently gathering testimonies to show the administration exactly how much this closure hurts our ability to learn and succeed.

Seeing this level of support reaffirms that I am not the only student who feels abandoned by this decision. Knowing so many of you rely on these resources just as much as I do makes me even more determined to fight this closure.

The life of a student is stressful enough and the sanctuary of an on site library is essential to good results and the emotional well bing of your students!!

My sister studies at this campus and I don't think it's appropriate that she is paying for a resource she needs and will no longer be able to use.

This is an important center for learning and without the correct resources available locally it will cause difficulties in acquiring the necessary information. This library is essential for some who have limited time and transportation to reach alternative locations.

i study at Queens Road campus studying the BSc hons social work degree. I feel to remove the library from the campus would have a massive impact on my studying and think it's unacceptable for the students studying at the college not to have the same opportunities as students at other campus' undertaking the same course. This course promotes equal opportunities and I feel this isn't being taken into consideration.

How can they expect us to have a university education without access to a library on site! We should be treated exactly the same as any other university student at any other university building! Aren't we paying enough per year for the same privilege?

I think it's disgusting that they charge the same as any other university for us to complete our degree, yet won't be providing a library for us to use! Main campus's is not easily accessible, the car park is always full (for those who drive). Not happy....

Please do not close the library. It is vitally important to students and their future.
