SAVE OUR LANSDOWNE NEIGHBORHOOD!

I live here all my life. I am against what Upper Darby is trying to do to our neighborhood. They don’t have the guts to ask the people in the surrounding area . What they think. They don’t have the guts to put it on the ballot in this last primary. I don’t like them to sneak int in our neighborhood.

first of all our property value would be affected in a negative way also our homeowners insurance and theft protection rates would increase i moved to this area to enjoy my home and life not to be subjected to kensington and Allegheny ave if so i would have purchased a home there this in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood if you want to do something positive let them travel far far away for their so called treatment the same way the traveled to pick up their drugs why worry about making things convenient for people who trashed their own life no put their treatment center by the river or in it keep them out of our neighborhood.

One missed dose and you’re sick from withdrawal symptoms like vomiting, cramps, muscle pain and in some cases life-threatening side effects. Methadone clinics and manufacturers are part of a billion-dollar industry that has spread to every city, making it much more profitable for people to continue with decades of treatment. With little to no alternatives being offered, those struggling with a opiate dependency are slowly but surely turned into lifelong consumers. They become shackled to methadone and unknowingly trade one addiction for another. This scam doesn’t need to be put into our neighborhood. Medicaid is basically paying for them to get a free fix everyday in your neighborhood.

Please do not destroy this family neighborhood with a meth lab.

Having this drug addiction treatment center in Lansdowne / East Lansdown will add no value and bring avoidable crime, due to the transients that this center attract. To make matters work, this drug center plans to operate 24-hr/day, 7-days/week. Medical facilities such as Urgent Care Center don't have these 24-hr operations and they provide beneficial services to the greater community of their neighbors.

Please consider the children and all residents of Lansdowne. We understand the effects drugs can have on people's minds causing them to do things they would not ordinarily do. For the safety and peace of mind for the residents and property owners here, please do not open a Methadone Treatment Center in the middle of our residential neighborhood, close to our schools.
