Please reconsider for the many millions needing the original phone line service!

We know this is being done on purpose. It's an attack on the most vulnerable. The ill and the old. Those you don't want to pay for in care or pensions.... WE KNOW

Analog handsets are vital in an emergency when there is a power cut. In future, overreliance on unreliable wind power will cause regular power cuts. Joined-up thinking would have been a good idea!

I have phones all over the house and for people with health issues this is a lifeline not everyone has a mobile and not everyone can carry one around all day they rely on their house phones, our internet goes down and there are signal problems, what would we do without a landline??

Landlines are absolutely essential, especially when all the wifi and signals are blocked by unfriendly countries.

Keep phones wired!!!

We are elderly and don't have mobile phones, how are we supposed to contact family in an emergency if we don't have a landline , my brother is housebound and his only contact is the house phone if we are not there

The ONLY way I could manage and aid my late parents' care was by the Sky calling discount that works only on a landline - so I could call for no more than my usual monthly service charge for up to 59 minutes at a time. I still have other elderly relatives overseas - and I'm very worried about how I will keep in touch with them if the landline is removed. I also live in a black spot for cell coverage - my mobile phone calls tend to drop 15 seconds after I answer. I can't function with only a mobile phone.

Need my traditional landlne, it is reliable. Vulnerable, elderly and have care at home.

There are far to many people still reliant on landlines due to lack of signal for mobiles. Also people who live in rural wooded areas and get regular power outages will be left very vulnerable especially those with health problems. This needs to be stopped.

It is urgent the decision to keep and maintain our required copper wired telephone network is made! It is heritage! It works without internet or towers and without external power! It is vital, now let us keep it!!
