The landline is an essential analogue connection in an increasingly digital world. It has an independent power supply and as such is invaluable during power-cuts, which usually affect our local mobile phone-tower at the same time, plus mobile phones have go be charged, again difficult during power-cuts, which incidentallly are more common in rural areas, but also seem to be more frequent everywhere these days.

Please maintain our Landlines. There is too much sickness personally to routers, to ever approve of an increase in WiFi power, namely 5G

I am totally opposed to the proposed universal downgrading on telecommunication options. Diversity is strength and resilience. Dependence upon a single, unreliable internet technology would exclude many people and leave many others abandoned in the event of a failure in the online sytem. EM pollution is a major concern, with insurance firms refusing to cover for radiation harm. The Equality Act is here o protect people from this kind of discrimination and if BT go ahead and disconnect lnlines there will be legal actions against those responsible

It’s imperative that we keep our land lines incase of emergencies so the idea of not having one is totally dangerous and inhumane

This is an insane idea. VOIP will be as useful as a chocolate teapot in the case of a power cut, The implications of which have clearly not been thought through at all.
