SAVE OUR LANDLINES: Help us maintain full access to our well-established and vital copper landline network.

We shouldn't have to pay extra for a service which was there from start. You should have been able to keep your landline at no extra cost. But we live in a crazy World. Please share this petition widely!

Vital that my landlines remains

Landlines are essential for many of us, those who are extra affected by EMFs being my top reason (there are now tens of thousands of proper safety studies saying they cause harm to us), those like me who have poor phone signal at home (I'm in a basement flat). This push towards enslavement surveillance tech is criminal, unlawful and breaches our basic human rights.

Thank you, Janine! This petition was started recently and will be presented to Government as soon as we got enough signatures, hopefully in a month or two. I am aiming high, so please share this widely!

Keep land lines

Mobile phone signals are sketchy where I live and mobiles are fiddly things to use if you are dyslexic. What a silly idea to lose landlines.

We must keep our landlines! The plan to get rid of them is part of the push towards a totally digital world, which would be, at best, more expensive for many people, devastating for elderly people who live on their own and at worst harmful for us all!

So when communities get hit by storms and suffer power cuts for weeks on end, how is the Internet phone better than the Landline for contacting Emergency Services?

Absolutely essential for those who for whatever reason do not have access to the internet. Not everyone wants access to the Internet. Some people struggle with the technology, a phone may be out of charge, internet outage etc, etc. Safety aswell as personal choice should ensure this continues to be optional.

We need to keep landlines. Skype etc are not reliable for work or as secure. Landlines are more reliable and safer as using mobile phones for long periods can affect health. In addition, the older generation don't have smart phones and in some areas coverage for mobile phones is limited. Pay phones also in the street are essential for emergencies and are gradually disappearing from our streets.

Outrageous to think about not having landlines. What about the dangers of radiation from mobiles???

Need landlines no mobile signal where I live.

Far too little consultation and choice here.

Did the public ask for this digitalisation? No, stop it, it leaves vulnerable people even more vulnerable.

Another horrendous idea by the corporation

So thankful for this initiative. I was really depressed to hear they want to do away with our *safe* landlines by 2025. I cant use wireless phones due to being sensitive to EMF radiation and besides, I just don't want to live with this biotoxin in my home. Love you Tanja - Amber x

I have elderly relatives who rely on landlines to keep in contact and for their pendants to be connected in case of an accident. They are too old and fragile to learn how to use the Internet or smart phones. I also have younger friends who do not want to use mobile phones or the internet. Landlines are crucial for many people and should not be removed from service

For a start many elderly don't possess mobile phones. Many people like to have a landline and some broadband installations rely on having a landline despite the ridiculous monthly charges
