Enough of insidious manoeuvres by corporations such as you to remove the freedom of choice and create the internet of things. You will ostracise huge swathes of population that cannot use, afford or understand digital alternatives including mobile smart phones. You have been able to afford and have maintained hundreds of thousands of phone boxes across the country for many years and have a monopoly on landlines. You have made more than a sufficient profit over the decades and it is of the utmost importance that you give back and serve everyone!

I am sensitive to electroMagnetic frequencies. I was diagnosed by physicians in 2007, slept for seven years in a Faraday cage until we could find a house rurally situated so there were no EMF. If not for my landline, I would not be able to be in contact with the hospitals, doctors, family and emergency care. I need a landline, as I can't have wireless equipment in my home. I have learned that there are approximately 8% of the population that has this sensitivity. Please keep our Landlines. Learn more at www.MDSafeTech.org. or www.EHTrust.org, or www.wiredchild.org or, my book, ALL EMF*d UP. Thank you Anne Mills

Even if the Internet goes down (as it frequently does) a landline continues to work. This is a boon in an emergency and for older people

We have to keep landlines for a) safer than continual exposure to radiation b) not usable during an internet outage c) clearer/quality calls through landlines which is NEVER achieved through mobile phones

Taking the elderly's last lifeline away is despicable. Haven't they suffered enough. Put yourself in their position.

Cannot hear properly on mobiles. Also, hurt my ears. Landlines reliable and efficient.
