Is this something else "they" will take away? Our "culture" is at stake. That "Red Box" saved my life once.

A landline phone still works even if the electricity has been cut off - a mobile phone doesn’t.

Land lines must stay as a vital way of connecting. Not everyone can afford a mobile nor should we be pushed into having loosing them just because the governments say so. The government work for the people and they need to remember this. And taking important thing me away like land lines or any other important decision the people should make that choice

I strongly object to the removal of landlines. My mobile signal is terrible. It vital for many elderly people who do not have or want mobile digital phones with all the tracking and data theft involved.

Herding our citizens into an enforced, singular mode of communication indicates the lack of care & concern that befits a responsible government. Those who are already isolated & bereft of human company will suffer. The elderly who cannot understand modern tech rely on a familar land phone. The reasons to maintain land lines are many. They are also a back-up in an emergency that even a small child can manage as has been seen many times where a life has been saved.
