SAVE OUR LANDLINES: Help us maintain full access to our well-established and vital copper landline network.

Sooooo important! Landlines are essential to keeping people safe and connected. Cell phones are dangerous and miserable to talk on.

We need our landline- with a poor mobile phone signal it would make me as a vulnerable disabled person even more vulnerable during a power cut.

Landlines are essential - You cannot lose or have a landline stolen - u like mobile phones - especially important to elderly people who may be house-bound in areas where reception is not good

Many old people rely on landlines for communication purposes my grandparents being one of them. Their health life line is connected to their landline.

People with EMHS cannot use mobiles due to the dirty energy they produce. Therefore it is an absolute human right for these people to have the opportunity of retaining their landline for basic day to day communications.

Definitely don't want to see analogue phone lines going. This is a cost-cutting exercise for BT to save money on electricity. Also you will have no phone if the power goes down.

landlines save lives !

I am very hard of hearing and unable to use a mobile phone because my hands shake badly. I struggle to use a landline but at least I can. Do not take this away!

Copper landlines that don't require internet access and electricity to function are essential infrastructure and must be retained. We need robust, energy-efficient, future-proof telecommunications networks, and mobile phones/VOIP do not meet this objective.

My landline used to be ‘stand alone’ but since it was a Virgin line and my modem is also Virgin the engineer swapped it to be through my modem. When modem goes down I have no telephone.

Common sense to prevail

It is vital we keep our landlines.

I have already lost my landline because BT has replaced it with voice over internet, which means I cannot make emergency calls in a power failure, nor can I turn my router off at night to save energy .

landlines future-proof secure, safe, reliable, power-grid-free, telephony - we need to keep investing in them!
