SAVE OUR LANDLINES: Help us maintain full access to our well-established and vital copper landline network.

this is a secure and safe form of communication and needs to be available to everyone, especially those whose health suffers if surrounded by wifi.

For many of us that are disabled land lines are our lifelines as we are unable to use cell phones. Please help every member of our so-called democracies by saving the land lines.

Where there is risk, there must be choice.

Analogue phones are essential. I am electromagnetic sensitive and must avoid WiFi. Cannot use a mobile phone. Save our landline phones.

Worrying if you have to rely on a mobile to make 999 calls. What about people who have emergency lifelines and need to be in contact with rescuers? What if the internet goes down?

So many concerns of digital lobby arragance. So many people in the North east and Scotland had weeks of power cuts during the severe winter storms early this year. BT deliberately cutting landline connections left thousands of people unable to communicate.

I am electro sensitive and so do not use a mobile for phone calls.

Removing landlines would disenfranchise a huge part of the population who do not have internet access. These are among the most vulnerable in society, and elderly people would be the most affected. Also, mobile coverage can be very patchy and by no means guaranteed; our mobile provider cut us off for several days whilst doing 'essential maintenance' in the area. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Let's keep the status quo and not throw out something which has worked for generations and replace with something uncertain and not guaranteed.

Keep our planet safe and healthy. Save our landlines

Landlines are an integral part of our communication infrastructure. Wireless communication is not always useable or trustworthy. Many don’t have mobile phones. We can’t use them very well in our 200 year old cottage! Once you get rid of them, like the train branch lines, they are very expensive and time consuming to bring back!

Not all people have mobile phones so it’s important in 2022 to give all people access to making contact. Landline and public phones must stay to support all people.

Landlines are our lifelines, many people do not have or want WiFi operated devices and 5G is proven to be detrimental to everyone’s health, it is wrong to remove the choice, landlines must remain an option for communication.
