I use my landline because mobile phones cause brain damage and hearing loss.

Analogue landlines should remain available to those who want them. Being self-powered, they are not vulnerable to power outage at the end user premises. In their rush to go 'digital' the telcos avoid mention of this fundamental change to telephone services. If these companies cannot run the service then it must be transitioned into a public service utility – run for the public good because it is so essential.

It could lead to life for people like myself becoming even more isolated

Keep the landlines as I am not comfortable using mobiles too often.

Backwards is the word! Progress is not always for the better.

There are many people who cannot use mobile phones. Removing landlines is shortsighted and discriminatory.

Landlines can be lifelines! We need to keep them!

This is an egregious intention, one which ignores those who do not live online and enacted, it will exclude a large amount of our population from mainstream society. This is thoughtless, stupid and reflects how out of touch those who have power are Shame on you.

I rely on my landline, also having a landline would mean i can still communicate in the event of a power cut.

Many people like me are sensitive to all the Electro magnetic frequencies which surround us like spiders webs We cannot use computers for long or be near wi-fi We suffer many complaints and it leads to more dementia early This has been proven for decades now by well respected scientists I will only be able to write to people if I cannot have a landline I cannot do internet banking for various reasons We should not have all this technology forced on us I cannot do online banking and cannot use a mobile phone for anything except emergencies There are thousands and thousands of people like me NOT JUST OLD PEOPLE Wendy Holdstock

Please ensure this form of communication is not removed from public choice and access. The research into the current technologies being rolled out and with attempts to institute these as the only choices, disregards the research showing harm of electro-smog. These technologies were developed militarily. We need the safest options. Thank you.

I'm electrosensitive, and have been diagnosed officially by my doctor. I can't use a mobile phone because of my chronic ES but love my land line. I do have cable internet but how reliable would that be as my internet is always going down as I only get 3 where we are. It's such a step backwards.

It is vital we keep this form of communication.
