SAVE OUR LANDLINES: Help us maintain full access to our well-established and vital copper landline network.

I want the country to maintain landline telephones as an integral part of the countrys infrastructure. The land telephone offers better reception and not everybody has mobile phones.

My Lifeline is dependent on landline.

landlines are essential for the increasing amounts of people with electro magnetic sensitivity...or emfs and for the elderly and people with poor internet signals. We should have choice in this matter and be dictated too yet again by Big Corps.

I rely on my home phone, so don't want to lose it.

To take away people's one contact to family or friends is disgusting. Elderly have lifelines also through their phone line, are you taking that away as well? How can you deprive our elders of communication???

In my case: No landline = No way to call the fire brigade or an ambulance if there's an emergency during a power outage. Thanks for considering my life to be so worthless BT.

I've already had to have an electric phone from Virgin and as I'm mildly electrically sensitive I have to hold it at arm's length when I use it. I hate it. I turn the plug off every night to avoid the switch overheating and causing a fire so I can't be contacted then in an emergency until I remember to switch on in the morning. Electrical fires affect more than 20,000 homes in the UK every year. A lot of these cases are caused by overloaded electrical sockets and extension wires. These phones are another of the government's scheme that are definitely not in the public interest..
