It's vital that we keep this trusted and reliable lines of communication, not just for the elderly and those without wi-fi but because the internet cannot be relied upon at all times and is subject to interference and manipulation

Our landline is reliable and clear. Our mobile line is erratic, and unreliable, we often fail to get connection in our home.

When the Internet goes down (which it does) my landline is reliable. In conversation for an hour, my current analogue landline is the safe option, no hot ear and potential cancer/tumour risk.I know family and friends numbers by memory, love landlines!

I want to be able to use my landline even if there’s a power cut!

Analogue copper lines and phones work perfectly well. VOIP connections will fail during a power cut, and the harmful effects of wireless radiation are now well documented.

The capital infrastructure is a national asset, paid for by the people, when BT was a nationalised industry. The only people who can decide whether or not to keep are the people. Anything else is vandalism.

I use my landline and definitely want the facility

Making us all dependent on the Internet for telephoningnis a big mistake for many reasons.

I do not use a mobile phone and rely on my landline. I am a pensioner.

I feel a bit of a fraud as got rid of my landline a few years ago as couldn’t afford it plus a mobile….. I feel sad nowx!

Just pushed back against BT switchover. Say won't do anything, and will contact me in 12 mths...not that I'll change my mind. Thanks to article in The Light newspaper.

Stop forcing digital internet telephone connection - this is not a positive future if we do not have any internet connection we do not have any phone line..

Keep the landlines

Each to their own, but we must have the choice.

I cannot do without a landline as i live on my own and have medical problems. In an emergency a mobile might not work. Also having a mobile phone to my head anymore than a couple of minutes brings on a headache and my ear is hot and painful. I need to takj ti people for more than a couple of minutes. Everyone should have a choice to have a landline if they want to abd the choice not to radiate their brain.

I don't use a mobile 'phone so I rely on my landline for key comunication.
