As a student in Lake County I think it is so important to treat our lakes to eradicate harmful algae and bacteria.

It is very important that Butler Lake is given the best treatment. As a student at LHS, I walk past this lake on a daily basis. It is a staple of our school and deserves to be treated as such.

Butler Lake is a part of our school and seeing it in the current state that it is in is sad. This is our chance to fix this issue and clean our lake.

The health of our community is bound up with the health of our natural systems. At Libertyville High School, we are working diligently to address issues with Butler Lake, but we need help to address systemic problems. Support our community, support the work our students are doing, and invest repairing our lake!

As a student at LHS, the restoration of Butler Lake is extremely important to me and many other students at my school. Cleaning up the lake would make for healthier water life and the lake would be able to be used for more activities.

I am a student here at LHS and I value our local natural ecosystems. People underestimate the importance of our local habitats like our lakes. Protecting and maintaining their health has a widespread and lasting positive impact on everyone.

As a student at Libertyville High School, we use Butler Lake for many different activities. Whether club, sport, or even PE. Having a clean lake would not only look better, but our health won't be at risk from being around all of the harmful algae and pollutants.

Education and enforcement related to responsible fertilizer would probably be helpful in the long term.

Having a natural way to stop the spread of this algae early is critical, now is the perfect opportunity to tackle it. Thank You

Protecting our lakes, streams, and oceans needs to be a top priority to protect the well-being of our planet. Starting with these lakes in Lake County gives opportunity to understand the implications from both a beauty and a wildlife perspective potential that comes with investing in our lakes.

Given our Lake County brand, I can think of no better investment right now than one that reduces eutrophication and supports the health of our marine life, pets and lake users.
