This wonderful beach has always been The Inkwell and I was so pleased to see those signs appear.. It's a historical reference and should remain--the signs are perfect! I have always been so proud of the diversity of Oak Bluffs. Please allow the signs to return to show visitors that this is a community steeped in history and diversity.

The richness of the history of the Inkwell Beach is why I brought my children here for many summers before we were able to buy a home in this historical district. The sign is an art piece that adorns many homes worldwide and should be welcomed with open arms. Thank you Mr. Johnson.

C'mon, Oak Bluffs! It's really silly not to grant this artist's wish. The name "Inkwell Beach" is loaded with history. I've always associated it with the BEAUTY of the African-American people.

Allow the signs to go back up. They are beautiful. The one pictured certainly is far more aesthetically pleasing than the ugly rules and regulations sign hanging above it.
