All - just a quick note to let you know that the next board meeting is tomorrow (10/11/18) at 7:30 in the TH clubhouse. It's not likely that they're going to address the basketball goal issue, but I'll be there to continue to ask q's and push for a pause in fees. I am confident that the $250k "curb" renovations will be discussed, so I encourage you to show up if you don't want these guys to make a decision about your dues w out your input. The leadership of this board has made it very clear they are willing and open to working behind the best interests of homeowners. They have their sights set on the curb renovation and it'll cost us $250k. Hope to see you there.

Hey Neighbors! Hope this finds you well. It's certainly been radio silence from the powers that be for the last 3 rounds of outreach and communication around our cause. I've gotten some great feedback and support from you all, but I think it's time to step this up a notch and want to use the next "Homeowner's Meeting" to show up en masse and demand answers and feedback. The meeting is Thursday, 9/13 at 730pm at the clubhouse. PLEASE COME AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!!!! I don't think we'll get another homeowner meeting until late in Q4.
If you are able to make it, please come prepared to speak and share your perspective and support. We need to be sure HOA understands that we are a MAJORITY and not just a vocal minority. If you have kids affected who are willing to speak, PLEASE SHOW UP!! If you're retired and this doesn't affect you directly, but you still support the cause - PLEASE SHOW UP! If you have any experience in real estate law or have been part of the HOA board in the past (THHA or any other) - PLEASE SHOW UP!!
I have engaged a good friend of mine who is a successful realtor in the area. She's juggling schedules now but is willing to come and speak to the property value argument and debunk it.
Lastly -
if you can't make it in person, I would love to be able to read a personal statement from each of you about why this is important and how it's affected your family. If your time permits, please send your note to my email [email protected] and I'll print.
Please be sure to start that statement (or any correspondence!!) with a genuine THANK YOU for their service and commitment. I think we can all agree that 90% of the time, they run a pretty good ship and I'd like to take the high road on so no one can make the argument otherwise. We've done a great job of that in the past, so I'm just restating.

Children should be able to play. You would have to be a total jerk to make kids get rid of basketball goals. With so many video games and obese children, you should be happy they are playing outdoors.
