Save a piece of history, the Madison theater is a landmark, everyone enjoys the small town feeling of having a theater in town. This is disappearing too fast.

The theater needs to be refurbished, not replaced. It is a part of Americana that is hard to find these days...The suggestion of repurposing like the Morristown theater is an excellent example of what should be done

Ridiculous! Stop filling the town with apartment complexes and save it’s history! If we can have $300 hat stores and the Snooki Shop, I think we can manage a theatre.

I have voiced my opinion several times now. I don't know if I can say this here, but I'm going to. The owner of the current site is a pompous punk. I've watched him at every single meeting that I have attended concerning this movie theater. I've watched him laugh while people were speaking directly to him. He doesn't care about this theater; it is only about his investment, and his money.

The decision of the Commission to permit demolition is misguided at best. This is not the method by which high density housing should be added to Madison

this theater must be saved...what needs to go is our mayor and other elected officials who have sold this town to the highest bidder!

Madison would greatly benefit from having a venue for live music and other entertainment.

It was a large part of my youth and would really miss it. I saw my first movie there, Pollyanna, and still love it.

Let’s save the Madison theater!!!! It can be done! I have the pleasure to live in a town with a great restored theater. Netcong’s historic Palace Theater has been transformed back to its 1919 grandeur over the past 20 years. Known now as the Growing stage, it is a hub of activity for the town! Beautiful in so many ways & to all ages.

Small town businesses come and go but with thoughtful stewardship, a community theater can thrive for decades - or more! - providing an essential hub for community activity, culture, economics... fun. It is a through line that connects the generations as a vessel of shared experience. Many towns have lost their theaters, few are better for it. A vibrant town such as Madison needs its theater alive and healthy, not just for its historical value, but for all the good that it will do for the community and its patrons in the decades hence. It is a valued institution, essential to a healthy, happier town life. Save Madison Theater!
